Born and raised in South Korea, Yubin Min attended a premier fashion and design high school before attending FIDM. Sourcing inspiration from Polish artist Marcin Rusak, she focused on exuding the beauty and life of flowers in her FIDM Debut collection. Through the use of fabric manipulation, she illustrated the transformation of colors and textures during a flower’s life cycle — from buds to blooming into their fullest form to being dried and covered with resin, preserving their original form. Min believes this ongoing cycle of rebirth represents her life story and her beliefs in sustainability. She hopes to continue growing as a designer, taking on new challenges, and employing new technologies and sustainable practices in her work.
