Viktor Luna

Sophistication punctuated with dark sensuality and a punk rock pulse — Viktor Luna’s eponymous collection is for the woman who is empowered, elegant, and edgy.

New York designer Viktor Luna was born in Guadalajara, Mexico, and raised in Los Angeles. Luna’s mother, a talented seamstress in her own right, introduced him to fashion at the age of 7 and taught him the foundations of tailoring and construction. He polished his skills at the Fashion Institute of Technology following his move to New York. In 2003, he worked as a production assistant for Zero Maria Cornejo prior to launching his first collection.

An avid photographer with a keen eye for nature’s overlooked oddities, Luna steps behind the lens to create inspiration for his vivid prints. He draws upon his eclectic background, spanning tranquil summers on Mexico’s coast, his rock ‘n’ roll days in Los Angeles, and the kinetic urban energy of New York City.

Luna showed his Spring 2012 collection at Mercedes-Benz New York Fashion Week. Past collections have been featured in Elle Mexico magazine,, French VogueThe New York Times, Marie Claire, Rolling Stone, Harper’s Bazaar en Español, Nylon México, Out, and DivaHis clothing has been worn by Laverne Cox, Ciara, Lil’ Kim, Carly Rae Jepsen, Iggy Azalea, Jackie Cruz, Ruby Rose, Big Boi, and Victoria Justice.
