Mah-Jing Wong is an American fashion designer. At age 11, he discovered his love for creating clothing, and it was through his grandmother’s teachings that he learned how to hand sew and create patterns from cutting out the weekly newspapers.
He received his Bachelor of Science in fashion marketing from the Arts Institute of Philadelphia. While in his senior year, Wong interned for top fashion designer Zac Posen. This experience inspired him to launch his own clothing brand in 2011.
Industry experts have described Wong’s work as “denim innovation,” and his fashion exemplifies bold looks using simple silhouettes with hand-dyed prints and geometrical shapes — awakening the inner confidence in any woman.
There is a high quality of work in every garment that he creates. All designs are cut, constructed, and shipped with care by Wong and a dedicated team.
The Mah-Jing Wong brand aims to showcase the timeless ability that the denim textile embodies. In 2016, his innovative design skills landed him a spot on season 15 of Lifetime Network’s Project Runway. Wong captured the hearts of the world with his relatable personality and denim-infused designs. He consistently placed in the top three of the design competition and placed sixth overall.
