Joel Elliott

Joel Elliott’s FIDM Debut collection is an exploration of the societal strictures and structures people exist within, through the lens of his personal life journey. He found inspiration in areas such as Shibari rope bondage and 18th-century sailing ships. His designs portray the ways freedom and power are found through embracing one’s truest self. Elliott’s collection incorporates a fresh sweep of white with complementary drape and bold cuts; metallic silver rings, knotted red ropes, and gold-plated covers enhance the looks. Initially drawn to fashion after recognizing an overdominance of masculine clothing for men, Elliott focuses on making gender-agnostic designs. He is furthering his education and working toward receiving a bachelor’s degree from FIDM.
