While attending the Fashion Institute of Technology, Christopher Palu interned at Vera Wang, assisted at ​ELLE magazine and worked as a front desk receptionist at a NYC hair salon. Right out of school, he jumped into the industry as a shoe designer at Sam Edelman. He then competed in season 10 of Project Runway where he won 4 challenges, including: the Rockettes costume, the Lord and Taylor gown and the Babies​ R​ Us dress and showed at New York Fashion Week finishing in fourth place.

From there, he entered back into the industry as an associate designer for the brand Haute Hippie. He then competed on Project Runway Allstars Season 3 where he finished fourth. After competing, he consulted as the leather designer at Elie Tahari for a year and was then appointed Senior Designer of embellishments back at Haute Hippie. He now is consulting for different brands, production companies and freelancing specifically doing custom pieces and costumes under his own label.
