Spoiled Dog Designs, the home of “Function to Fashion for Dogs 2 to 200 Pounds,” is the fashion brainchild of Patt Savastano, who learned to sew and design from her mother and other family members while growing up in the Northeast. After discovering the lack of stylish clothing options available for her Chihuahua, the Palm Springs–based designer took furry fashion into her own hands and has designed dog garments with built-in harnesses for comfort and functionality, as well as carriers and accessories for dogs of all sizes. Savastano’s designs have appeared at several canine fundraisers and events, and even onscreen; she was the designer for a “muttrimony” that appeared in an episode of National Geographic’s Taboo.
