The ASID Palm Springs/Inland Valley chapter present "Chateau Le Chien," at a private residence in Mirada Estates, Rancho Mirage, CA. This barking cocktail and hors d'oeuvres evening will feature the creativity of the ASID designers as they display wonderful, fanciful, creative "chateaus" for your favorite canine. During the evening, the chateaus will be judged by a group of celebrity judges and awarded ribbons of excellence. The chateaus will be placed the next morning at Fashion Week's "Le Chien" and available for sale at the silent auction with the proceeds benefiting the Humane Society of the Desert and the ASID Scholarship Fund.

What is Le Chien? – it's French for dog!

Le Chien at Fashion Week El Paseo™ will begin with our "Doggy Beauty Bash" where local pet salons will perform their magic on dogs in the Great White Tent at Fashion Week El Paseo™. All of the proceeds from the grooming will benefit the Humane Society of the Desert, a no-kill animal shelter. Following the "Doggy Beauty Bash" we will have Kibbles and Champagne for the owners while we set the stage for the first "Le Chien" at Fashion Week. Expect to see large and small, pedigree and mutt, all decked out in the latest dog fashions from top designers who specialize in couture for the dog strutting their stuff on the Fashion Week runway.

We are pleased to announce that Kyra Sundance, stunt dog trainer, performer and author will join us on stage. Kyra's revolutionary "whole-dog" approach advocates humane behavior modification techniques – which don't involve intimidation or escalating correction to establish expectations without compromising love. Kyra will be available for book and CD signing following the show.

Linda Higgins will be joining this fabulous event who is known for her beautiful interior designs featured in magazines such as "Southern Accents" and "New Woman," but after falling in love with her three small dogs and needing a functional item of clothing for her G.A.L'S, Linda decided to design her own doggie dresses to match her unique lifestyle. These (some are one of a kind) doggie creations are made from the finest silks available on the market today. Dresses, dress coats, and much much more to come.
